Company seeks airport vendors

Centerplate is seeking vendors that qualify as "disadvantaged business enterprises" to operate food and beverage concessions at both major Big Island airports.

The vendors must qualify as DBEs under guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Centerplate provides food and beverage concessions at nine Hawai'i locations.


HEALTH PROVIDER EXPANDS SERVICE

Hawaii Health Systems Corp. is expanding its outpatient services from Hilo Hospital to the new Hilo Medical Building at 45 Mohouli St.

The state-owned organization is the largest health provider for Neighbor Island residents, and is the nation's fourth largest public hospital system.

Hawaii Health Systems signed a 10-year lease to occupy the 22,751-square-foot medical building, which is owned by GLACS LLC., according to PM Realty Group.

PM Realty Group announced the expansion and represented the building's owner.


HAWAIIAN AIR PICKS SALES CHIEF

Hawaiian Airlines has named Rick Peterson as vice president of marketing and sales.

Peterson, a Hawaiian employee since 1987, formerly was vice president of e-commerce where he recently was in charge of the airline's $1.1 million Web site redesign.
