B&Bs, rentals to be supported

A group of Windward O'ahu residents who want to see more legal vacation rentals and bed-and-breakfast operations in the area plan to make their case at the Kailua Neighborhood Board meeting tonight.
Kailua resident Angie Larson said members of the group want to counteract a perception that the vacation operations are bad for Windward neighborhoods. The board has opposed allowing more vacation rentals, with some residents saying they add to congestion.
"There's another side. We want them to hear the voice of reason," Larson said.
The meeting begins at 7 at the Kailua Recreation Center, 21 S. Kainalu Drive.
