A 32-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday in a financial fraud investigation for allegedly using stolen information to obtain credit cards used to buy more than $9,000 worth of goods.

The woman, who has no permanent local address, was arrested on Pukoloa Street in Mapunapuna.

She was booked for investigation of unauthorized possession of confidential information, identity theft, fraudulent use of a credit card, theft, forgery and using false statements to procure a credit card.

Police said the woman allegedly obtained credit cards using personal information of a 34-year-old woman. She charged $2,938 at a jewelry store and made purchases of $1,490 and $5,010 at a hardware store.
