Nani 'O Wai'anae, an O'ahu volunteer anti-litter group, kicked off its Great Hawai'i Cleanup campaign by planting a tree Friday at the Wai'anae Boat Harbor.
The campaign continued Saturday with volunteers picking up tons of litter, tires and trash at Kea'au Beach Park and loading it into a shipping container in the parking lot.
Nani 'O Wai'anae will continue to schedule regular events throughout the cleanup effort, which will last through May 31.
