Maui County Mayor Charmaine Tavares will deliver her first State of the County address at 10 a.m. Friday.

The event will take place in the County Council Chamber on the eighth floor of the Kalana O Maui building in Wailuku.

It is open to the public, but seating is limited.

Those who can't attend in person may watch the mayor's State of the County address live on Akaku-Maui Community Television's Channel 53.

Tavares was sworn in to office in January after serving 10 years on the County Council.
