County Councilman Jay Furfaro has left Princeville Associates as its chief of operations and has reopened his consulting business, Hospitality Concepts, which will provide consulting services to Princeville and other clients.

Furfaro, a longtime Hawai'i hotelier, said he was most proud of his Project Punahele at Princeville, which trained employees in the area's history.

He spent two years with Princeville.

Furfaro is a former executive with the Sheraton and Outrigger hotel chains, and past president of the Kaua'i Historical Society and the Kaua'i chapter of the Hawai'i Hotel and Lodging Association.
