Blaze may be arsonist's work

Big Island firefighters believe a blaze that damaged a Kona structure early Sunday may have been deliberately set.
The fire destroyed an uninhabited 800-square-foot wooden structure on land owned by Kamehameha Schools at Bruner Road, a quarter-mile above Highway 11 south of Honaunau.
Firefighters were called to the property on a single-lane road for four-wheel-drive vehicles just before 4 a.m. The fire was brought under control by 5 a.m. and extinguished at 7 a.m. No estimate of the dollar value of the damage was available.
Firefighters said they had been called to another fire on the same property on March 17.
