Girls basketball jamboree to start tomorrow

The 14th annual Mufi Hannemann Basketball Jamboree goes is tomorrow, a day after the Hawaiian Airlines/Hawai'i High School Athletic Association Girls Basketball Championships.
The Jamboree, a "postseason showcase of basketball of all ages," features the top female prep athletes statewide playing with former collegiate athletes.
Konawaena's Jazzmin Awa-Williams, Honoka'a's Keisha Kanekoa, Roosevelt's Iwalani Rodrigues, Kamehameha's Analee Viena-Lota, Radford's Ta Nitra Byrd and Punahou's Chelsea Deptula are some of the prep athletes who will be playing.
Ex-collegians Nani Cockett, Lynette Liu, Milia Macfarlane, Kyla Evers, Kii Spencer-Vasconcellos, Pam Tambini, Brittany Aiwohi, Michelle Gabriel Michelle Gabriel, Kalei Namohala, Hedy Liu, Lisa Kowal, Onaona Miller and Wendy Anae are scheduled to play.
Coaches include Fran Villarmia Kahawai (formerly 'Aiea), Wendy Anae (formerly Kahuku), Kyla Evers (formerly 'Iolani) and Daphne Honma (formerly Hono-ka'a).
Games with 12-and-younger and 14-and-younger players will also be held.
The games run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Manoa Gym, and are open to the public. No admission will be charged, but donations are welcome and will benefit the Hawai'i High School Athletic Association.
