"The Spirit of the Jade Dragon": The Naxi (pronounced "na-shee") population, in the shadow of the Jade Dragon Mountain in the Yunnan province of China, trace their origins to elephant-headed god Tabu and are known for their ancient and elegant pictographic script.
In celebration of May as Asian Pacific American Heritage month, the Global Naxi Culture Conservation Society presents "The Spirit of the Jade Dragon," featuring the scripts and pictographic marvels of Naxi artists.
