Drug raid nets school athletic director
Advertiser Staff
A high school athletic director was one of two men charged yesterday by prosecutors with first-degree promotion of a detrimental drug.
Brad R. Kitsu, 31, Academy of the Pacific's athletic director, and Wayne Morris Roe Jr., 32, were arrested in an 8:30 p.m. police Narcotics/Vice Division raid Friday at their Kukui Plaza residence at 1255 Nu'uanu Ave. Bail is $15,000 apiece and both have initial appearances scheduled at District Court tomorrow.
An Enchanted Lake man, 29, arrested with the pair was released pending further investigation.
No details were available but a detrimental drug charge normally involves marijuana.
Attempts to reach AOP administrators for comment were unsuccessful.
In addition to the drug charge, Roe is also being held on three outstanding warrants totalling $1,300.
