Need something for the greenie in the family? Kabylan, a plush snow leopard, is based on the real-life species from the Tien Shan Mountains of Kyrgyzstan, where just about 300 of the animals are left in the wild. For each sale of the $15 stuffed animal, Origins will donate $3 to help protect the species through UK Charity Fauna & Flora International. Ala Moana has an Origins store, or check www.origins.com.

KEEP IT SIMPLE
HOSTESS GIFTS JUST KEEP ON GIVING
Real Simple magazine offers this tip for the holiday season in the November issue: Buy certain hostess gifts in bulk and keep them handy all year long. The big-box stores are already hauling out the gi-normous gift baskets, one of which can easily be pulled apart to make a year's worth of hostess gifts. Just pick nonperishables, of course — baskets filled with preserves, teas and hot chocolate mixes abound.
