Kailua Public Library is scheduled to host two free holiday season programs in December under the Reading Tree.

The Traveling Storytellers will present "Christmas Magic" at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 15. Hear featured stories "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and " 'Twas the Night Before Christmas."

This 45-minute program is suitable for ages 5 to adults.

"Puppet Times with Christy Lipps" will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 19. Puppeteer Christy Lipps will bring to life all-time favorite children's Christmas stories using puppets, finger plays and songs.

This 30-minute preschool storytime program is suitable for children ages 2 to 5 with a parent or caregiver.

Both programs are sponsored by the Friends of Kailua Library.
