A 33-year-old man was killed yesterday when he apparently came in contact with high-powered electrical wires in Wai'anae.
Police last night were still investigating the case, which occurred on Puhawai Street in Wai'anae Valley.
The death occurred about 4 p.m. when the man came in contact with the electrical wires on the ground. Police said it was not clear if the man was in a car beforehand that hit several utility poles in the area and knocked them down.
The man was pronounced dead at the Wai'anae Coast Comprehensive Health Center.
The case was being investigated by Wai'anae patrol officers and was not considered a traffic fatality, investigators said.
