Halau Ka Leo O Laka I Ka Hikina O Ka La will hold a fundraiser at Rumours Nightclub at the Ala Moana Hotel from 3 to 8 p.m. today.

Money raised will support kumu hula Kaleo Trinidad's halau as it prepares to compete at the 2008 Merrie Monarch Festival.

The halau has been under Trinidad's direction for four years. It operates out of St. Andrew's Priory.

The fundraiser is open to those 21 and older. Tickets are $10 in advance and can be obtained from halau members or $15 at the door. For more information call 271-1390.

ANIMAL BLESSING AT ST. CLEMENT'S

Get your dog, cat, bird, even reptile blessed at the annual Blessing of the Animals Service today at St. Clement's Church in Makiki.

The service starts at 10:15 a.m. and lasts about an hour.

The Rev. Liz Zivanov, a cat lover, will officiate.

The event is free and open to the public.

St. Clement's Church is at 1515 Wilder Ave.

Parking at the church is free, but space is limited.

A bake sale — with both human and animal treats — will follow the service.
