Toddler fatally hit by van identified

The Honolulu Medical Examiner's office has identified the girl who died Wednesday after being struck by a van in the parking lot of Times Super Market at 94-766 Farrington Highway as Taase Anthony, 1, of Waipahu.

Autopsy findings list cause and manner of death as "craniocerebral trauma due to motor vehicle accident."

The accident involving the toddler occurred on private property and is classified as a non-traffic fatality.



LEI-WEARING BANK ROBBER SOUGHT

Honolulu police have released surveillance photos and a description of the man who robbed the Waikiki Shopping Plaza branch of Central Pacific Bank on Tuesday.

The suspect was wearing a kukui nut lei, a fedora-type hat, dark glasses, a white T-shirt and dark shorts when he robbed the bank at 2250 Kalakaua Ave. of an undisclosed amount of cash at 3:25 p.m.

The suspect ran away. No injuries were reported.
