Kai Sensors wins Army contract worth up to $850K

Honolulu-based Kai Sensors Inc. said it recently won an Army contract that could be worth up to $850,000 for development of sensor and communication technology.
Kai Sensors develops products based on proprietary technology that can detect and monitor heart and respiration activity wirelessly and with no contact to the subjects. The company holds the worldwide exclusive license for the technology, which was developed at the University of Hawai'i.
Kai Sensors wants to integrate its technology into products for the automotive, homeland security, and remote patient monitoring markets.
