The city has announced that Oct. 24 is the deadline to apply for a Honolulu City Lights display.

Nonprofit organizations interested in creating a display on the Civic Center grounds must submit applications to the Neighborhood Commission Office.

Permits will be issued for five display sites via a lottery scheduled for Nov. 1.

Displays chosen through the lottery process will be on view during the same period as Honolulu City Lights.
