LEE NOMINATED TO APPEALS COURT

Randal Lee, an O'ahu Circuit Court judge, was nominated yesterday by Gov. Linda Lingle to the state Intermediate Court of Appeals.

Lee would replace Judge John Lim, who died in June, on the appeals court. The state Senate has 30 days to confirm or reject Lee's nomination or let it proceed by consent. Senate leaders have said they would likely return in special session to consider the nomination.
