Student leaders at Niu Valley Middle School will hold a white elephant sale to raise money to purchase gifts to give to an adopted family at the Loliana Shelter.

At the same time, the student government will host a canned food drive to benefit the Hawaii Foodbank. The two drives will end Nov. 10.

Anyone with gently used clothes, books, toys, small kitchen appliances, DVDs, video games, plants and dishes should drop off their items at the school between Monday and Nov. 9. The sale will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Nov. 10 at the school cafeteria.
