Police yesterday arrested a 19-year-old Halawa man suspected of driving a pickup truck at another man during a melee in Salt Lake on Oct. 20.

The man was arrested by Pearl City Crime Reduction Unit officers at a Halawa housing complex at 3:30 p.m. and booked on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder. He was identified as the driver from a photo lineup, police said.

Police said the victim was among a handful of men who allegedly were confronted and attacked by two carloads of other men in Salt Lake over a turf dispute.

The man struck by the truck suffered a broken arm, police said.
