Advertiser Staff
The 36th annual Hawai'i Hunting and Fishing Day will take place this weekend at Koko Head public shooting range.
The event, put on by the state Department of Land and Natural Resources, will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days.
It will feature demonstrations, food booths and hands-on activities for children. There will also be a "Wild West"-style target shootout challenge at 1 p.m. Sunday.
For every can of food or $1 donated, you receive an activity coupon. Last year the event raised 2,500 pounds of food contributions and $1,443 for the Hawai'i Food Bank.
