Contemplative Outreach of Hawaii is offering two workshops on silent prayer:

-- "Add Stillness and Silence to Your Life," an ancient silent prayer practice, will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 26 at Immaculate Conception Church, 91-1298 Renton Road in 'Ewa Beach; $15 for a book, refreshments and light lunch provided.

-- "A Quiet Morning" will be 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. April 19 at Central Union Church, 1660 S. Beretania St., Honolulu; free. An introductory class is provided for beginners and books on contemplative practices and the spiritual journey will be available for loan and sale.
