An 81-year-old man was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in serious condition after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Dole Street and East-West Road on the University of Hawaii-Manoa earlier this morning.

Emergency crews were sent out on the call about 6:55 a.m.
