NFL: Eli Manning adds another title: husband
Associated Press
The Super Bowl MVP quarterback of the NFL champion New York Giants plans to marry his college sweetheart later this month, The New York Post reported today.
Abby McGrew's father told The Post that Manning and his daughter would tie the knot later this month. Manning's oldest brother, Cooper, also confirmed to the paper that his brother and McGrew, a Nashville native, were planning to get married.
The Post reported that the 27-year-old Manning and 24-year-old McGrew, who were students together at the University of Mississippi, were recently spotted at the Office of the City Clerk, where marriage licenses are doled out.
The Post reported Manning proposed to McGrew in March, 2007.
Manning capped an improbable playoff run by the Giants by throwing the game-winning touchdown pass to Plaxico Burress in New York's 17-14 victory in the Super Bowl against New England in February.
