Kudos go out to our Ko'olauloa choir kids

When our kids succeed on a national stage — whether on the playing field, in academics or the arts — it always creates a sense of pride for all of us living here in the Islands.
Such is the case with the kids from Ko'olauloa Children's Chorus, who have traveled from our lush Windward O'ahu to London and Paris to perform.
Now, they're gearing up for the big time: Carnegie Hall in New York City. That's right, Carnegie Hall. They'll perform at the National Children's Choir Festival next summer.
Of course, they'll make us all proud. But equally as important is the wonderful experience these kids will get performing for an audience in one of the world's premier venues. And it will show them that they can indeed accomplish just about anything they put their minds to.
To raise the bucks for their Carnegie Hall trip, the kids are holding fundraisers: A plate lunch sale is scheduled for April 19; they'll also sponsor a garage sale at La'ie Elementary School on May 17.
So if you've got a few dollars to spare, support one of their fundraisers. The cause is certainly well worth it.
