Former University of Hawai'i quarterback Colt Brennan underwent successful arthroscopic surgery today at the Vail Valley Surgery Center in Colorado.
Brennan announced to NFL personnel at the UH Pro Day last Tuesday that he would undergo surgery to repair a labrum tear in his right hip.
"It went all perfect," Brennan said. "It was awesome."
Despite the surgery, Brennan is expected to be drafted in the April 26-27 NFL draft.
Recovery time is expected to be about eight to 12 weeks.
Brennan, who holds the NCAA record for most touchdown passes in a career, led UH to a 12-0 regular-season record and a trip to the Sugar Bowl. UH lost to Georgia in the game.
