Curling: Australia tops U.S. men

GRAND FORKS, N.D. — Australia defeated the United States 6-4 today in the early round of the World Men's Curling Championship.

The Americans fell to 3-3 in round-robin play. Each team plays 11 round-robin games, with the championship game Sunday.

In other games, undefeated Canada beat Norway 9-8, Scotland topped Sweden 11-7 and Denmark defeated the Czech Republic 8-7.
