Shinto shrine to offer pet blessing festival

Hawaii Kotohira Jinsha-Hawaii Dazaifu Tenmangetu, the Shinto shrine at 1239 Olomea St., will hold a pet blessing festival, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 1.

There will be "Pet Shave Ice" — shave ice in a bowl topped with some Iams-flavored sauce and a treat in dog and cat flavors.
