HONOLULU — The College of Tropical Agriculture at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa will hold its 20th annual Student Research Symposium on Friday and Saturday in the Agricultural Science Building on the Manoa campus. This year's symposium will feature more than 90 posters and oral presentations from undergraduate and graduate students representing all six departments in the college.
The symposium provides students with the opportunity to present their scholarly work in a friendly, yet professional setting similar to national and international conferences. The symposium also serves to promote cooperation and collegiality among the UH college and faculty and students from UH Hilo's College of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resource Management.
"The scientific exploration conducted by students (at Manoa and Hilo) is truly multidisciplinary, and the Student Research Symposium reflects this diversity," said Manoa tropical ag dean Andy Hashimoto. "All stages of the research and development process and student learning experiences are represented."
