Boyd Gaming Corp., the casino company that operates Downtown Las Vegas properties popular with Hawai'i residents, said its formed a joint venture to develop a 1,200-room casino, resort and spa in North Las Vegas.

The company said it is joining with Olympia Gaming for the development of the project within the masterplanned community of Park Highlands. Boyd, pending required approvals, will construct and manage the project on 66 acres.
