This weekend's "Sunset on the Beach" has been canceled because of bad weather, according to information provided by Mona Wood of Ikaika Communications.

The cancellation of the free monthly movie night was "due to forecasts of rain on Saturday and Sunday," the news release said.

Ironically, the movie scheduled for Saturday was to be "Arctic Tale."

The next event is scheduled for May 24-25.
