Firefighters and lifeguards helped two kayakers in Kailua Bay who were separated from their boat this morning. Using personal watercraft, the fire department and city lifeguards pulled a man and a woman to shore at 11:38 a.m., said fire Capt. Robert Main. The incident occurred toward the Lanikai end of Kailua Beach, Main said.
