Firefighters from the Kane'ohe ladder company brought out an injured woman hiker at about 5 p.m. from the ridge trail above the neighborhood-built "Friendship Garden" at Kokokahi Place.

Honolulu Fire Department spokesman Capt. Robert Main said the woman suffered a possible broken ankle and was about a half-mile in on the trail. Firefighters were dispatched at 4:05 p.m.
