Toddler severely burned in Big Island home accident

A female toddler severely burned in a home accident Wednesday on the Big Island was medevaced to O'ahu and admitted to Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children, according to Honolulu police.
The child suffered second- and third-degree burns, police said.
Hawai'i County police said the girl fell into a tub being used to boil water at her Mountain View home Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. Her residence does not have electrical or gas power, police csaid.
Big Island police classified the case as a home accident and asked Honolulu police to monitor the girl's condition. No information was available today on the girl's condition.
