High surf advisory still in effect for south shores
Advertiser Staff
A high surf advisory remains in effect for south-facing shores of all Hawaiian Islands through Saturday morning, the National Weather Service said.
A strong, southern hemisphere storm near New Zealand late last week generated a large swell which began arriving in Hawaii on Thursday.
Surf along south-facing shores is expected to be 6 to 10 feet today, with locally higher sets possible.
The high surf advisory will remain in effect until 6 a.m. Saturday.
