Sacramento State routs UH-Hilo in baseball, 12-2

Sacramento State pounded 18 hits en route to a 12-2 victory over Hawai'i-Hilo today in a college baseball game at Hornet Field in Sacramento.
Sacramento State is 16-18 overall. UH-Hilo is 13-18.
Brian Boyd hit a solo homer in the fourth inning and three-run shot in the sixth inning for Sacramento State. Gabe Jacobo went 3 for 3, including a two-run homer in the sixth.
Ronel Trias, Michael Higa and Shane Kessel paired hits for the Vulcans.
The series continues tomorrow and Sunday.
