• The title of Jennings' current album, "In the Ever," was inspired by his son. While inquiring about where he was before he was born, the 5-year-old asked: "You know, Dad, when was I in the ever?"

• "In the Ever" was recorded in a cabin in the woods using two microphones and a laptop.

• Led Zeppelin is Jennings' favorite band.

• Jennings met Jack Johnson when the two musicians played the same show six years ago at a small college in Minnesota. They hit it off and have toured together twice since then, and will tour together again this summer.

• Jennings performed at Texas' annual South by Southwest music festival last month and is scheduled to appear at the Bonnaroo Music Festival this summer in Tennessee.

• Jennings was hand-picked to perform two Bob Dylan songs, "The Times They Are A-Changin" and "The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll," for the soundtrack to the biographical film about Dylan, "I'm Not There."

• Jennings plays a 10-year-old Martin D2 guitar.

• Jennings' song "Beautiful Man" is about a stranger he met in a record store in Minneapolis.

• Jennings supports music sharing and allows audience members to record his concerts as long as they don't sell the recordings.
