TONIGHT'S MIGHT-SEE

"Doctor Who," 8 p.m., Sci Fi Channel. Well, why not start a season (in April) with a Christmas episode? That happens here, with what "Doctor Who" officially calls "Season 4, Episode 0." The Doctor is racing through space in his ship, which looks a lot like an English telephone booth. It collides with a ship that looks a lot like the Titanic. This happens in the midst of a Christmas party. (In England, this aired on Christmas Day.) The Doctor must save the crew and the planet, with the help of a waitress named Astrid Peth. She's played by Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue.

OF NOTE

"Desperate Housewives," 7 p.m., ABC. Here's a rerun of Sunday's episode, the first post-strike one. Neighbors learn Katherine's secrets. Also, there's a surprise wedding, plus the arrival of Susan's handsome cousin (Chris Carmack).

"Jurassic Park" (1993), TNT or "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" (2004, Disney Channel), 5 and 8 p.m., respectively. Fridays are a night for pop movies aimed at a broad audience. TNT has Steven Spielberg's dinosaur film, with screams and scares; Disney has Lindsay Lohan as a teen who moves from Manhattan to New Jersey.

"Canterbury's Law," 8 p.m., Fox. The season finale has Elizabeth trying to avoid defending a rapist in court.

"Avenging Angel" (2007, Hallmark) and "Lone Rider" (2008, Ion), 6 and 8 p.m., respectively. Two cowboy films have regular guys turn to vengeance. "Lone" has Lou Diamond Phillips as a former soldier; "Angel" has Kevin Sorbo as a former preacher.

"Numb3rs," 9 p.m., CBS. In this rerun, robbers take a valuable comic book.
