Phishing e-mail targeting Aloha Pacific members
Advertiser Staff
Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union said a fraudulent e-mail targeting its members was sent out earlier today and that it was in the process of getting a site linked to the phishing e-mail taken down.
The e-mail alerts people that they have a security message and that they need to click on a link to resolve the problem. That takes them to a Web site that's designed to look like Aloha Pacific's site, but asks credit card information and an automated teller machine PIN number.
Up until last year Aloha Pacific was known as the Honolulu City and County Employees Federal Credit Union. Aloha Pacific said it was also in the process of notifying members about the bogus e-mail.
