Police are investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide in 'Ewa Beach last night.

Police said a 38-year-old woman was shot and died at the scene.

The suspect in the case, a 39-year-old man, then apparently turned the gun on himself and also died at the scene, police said.

They said the shooting took place in a garage of a home on Kaukolu Street. Officers were responding to an aggravated assault complaint when they came upon two lifeless bodies at the shooting scene, police said. A gun believed to have been used in the shootings was recovered at the home.

Police said the incident happened prior to 11:51 p.m. Friday night.
