A 21-year-old man was being held by police tonight after firing a gun into the air on Kapi'olani Boulevard.

Police said the man fired the gun as two groups of men were arguing near Ke'eaumoku Street early yesterday morning.

The man was charged with reckless endangering, discharging a firearm on a public highway and possession of a weapon with an altered identification number.
