Ho'ike Technology, a Honolulu-based information technology company, is now BlueWave Technology Inc. after changing its name to reflect its origin in Hawai'i.

The company said the name also is tied to its providing of products used by property and casualty insurers, including its Pipeline Claims product line. BlueWave said it wants to expand on its software development, sales and marketing capabilities. It is a subsidiary of Island Holdings.
