The fourth annual Remodel it Right Expo presented by the Building Industry Association of Hawaii generated attendance of 11,126 during the three-day event at the Hawai'i Convention Center.

Although attendance was down 8 percent from last year, organizers said they were encouraged by the popularity of two workshops — "Meet the Experts," and a "Remodel it Right" panel discussion.

"Since approximately 80 percent of O'ahu homes are about 60 years old and could benefit from a project, we are very excited to support this building industry consumer event designed to educate homeowners in a collaborative environment," said Karen Nakamura, BIA's chief executive officer.

The event was held from Aug. 1-3.
