A Kalihi man charged with first-degree assault was released last night from police custody after posting $20,000 bail.

Blue Numau Lealao, 46, is accused of punching a man, 43, Saturday night in Kane'ohe. The victim suffered a fractured jaw and concussion after falling to the ground and hitting his head on the pavement.

Lealao was arrested at 10:35 p.m. Saturday at an 'Ahuimanu residence. He has eight prior convictions.
