Weather: Trade winds to become quite gusty

Advertiser Staff

A high pressure area far to the northeast of the islands will strengthen slightly and move more to the north of the state during the next few days resulting in strong and gusty trade winds, the National Weather Service said.

Passing showers carried by the winds will be brief and light, favoring nights and early mornings, forecasters said.

The trades will ease just a bit by the weekend as the high pressure area moves off to the northeast and weakens.
