Waimea Valley will celebrate its grand opening under new management from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 16.

The festivities will include music, dance, arts and craft demonstrations, games for keiki, guided tours and food by the Waimea Valley Grill.

In February Hi'ipaka LLC began its stewardship of the valley and is committed to perpetuating and sharing the Hawaiian culture with everyone, said Gail Ann Chew, interim executive director of Waimea Valley.

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children 4 to 12 years old and for seniors 60 plus. Kama'aina and military rates are $6 for adults and $3 for children and seniors.
