Open house shows off cabins, elder day care

ORI Anuenue Hale is holding a public open house today and tomorrow to show off its new Elder Day Care Wellness Center.

The open house will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days.

Today's highlights will include remarks by Mayor Mufi Hannemann and live entertainment.

In addition to the wellness center, the public will be given its first view of the soon-to-be-opened Camp Pineapple 808, an affordable place to stay overnight, consisting of 11 cabins, with cultural activities of Hawai'i in the evening.

Directions and more information are available at www.helemano.org or 622-3929.

ORI Anuenue Hale and its sister facility, Opportunities for the Retarded Inc., have been providing not-for-profit services to those in need since 1980 and were founded by Susanna F. Cheung with a group of parents and others.
