The Malama Learning Center will offer a workshop on growing edible plants for residents of West O'ahu and K-12 teachers from 9 to 11 a.m. tomorrow at Kapolei High School.

Designed for both weekend gardeners and K-12 teachers, this how-to workshop will include selecting edible plants for your garden, how to start growing them, creating healthy soil, hands-on experience transplanting seedlings, and nontoxic methods for controlling garden pests. Participants will take home an information booklet and an edible plant appropriate for their backyard.

Registration is required and space is limited. Cost is $8.
