Palama Meat recalling some kalua pork products

Palama Meat Co. today announced a voluntary recall of kalua pork processed at its Kapolei plant from Aug. 4-7 after testing detected the presence of a bacterium called listeria monocytogenes.
There have been no reports the products being recalled have caused illness, the company said.
The recall affects 101 cases of retail Mays Hawaii Kalua Brand Pork — item No. 325466 — sold at Sam's Club and Costco in Hawai'i from Aug. 6 to today and 81 cases of wholesale Mays Kalua Brand Pork, item No. 325469, distributed locally.
Consumers may obtain refunds from the point of purchase.
