Traffic around Castle hospital and Kailua High School could be affected by two road projects this week.

Today the left lane on Kailua Road from Castle Medical Center to Hamakua Drive will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to fix potholes.

The work will continue in the Honolulu-bound direction where the right lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Thursday.

Motorists can also expect work on Kalaniana'ole Highway from Kealahou Street in Hawai'i Kai to Castle Junction in Kailua where crews will be striping lanes and closing a lane from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. today through Thursday.
